This sideboard, originally named "Geschirrschrank 602/M" was designed by the bauhaus master student Franz Ehrlich and manufactured by Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau. The body is veneered with sen, a wood which is very similar to European ash and therefore often used as a substitute. The right half of the front was originally covered by sliding glass doors. Unfortunately those could not be preserved.
Hence we took the opportunity to add a new character to Ehrlichs design: Inspired by Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand the doors were rebuilt using black and white formica sheets and plain ash handles.
